1. Who is responsible for your information
Valcend is operated by Emilio Tinoco in Mexico City, Mexico. Valcend is the controller or responsible party for personal information collected through this website, except where a third-party service acts independently under its own privacy terms.
Privacy requests can be sent to contact@valcend.com.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- contact information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, company, and message;
- consultation or appointment details you submit through a booking service;
- communications you send to Valcend by email or through a form;
- technical and usage information, such as browser type, device information, approximate location, referring source, pages viewed, and interaction data, but only through optional analytics where consent is required and has been granted;
- cookie and privacy-preference choices stored in your browser so the site can remember your selection.
Valcend does not intentionally request sensitive personal information through this website.
3. Why we use information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and communicate with prospective or current clients;
- schedule and manage consultations;
- provide requested services and take steps related to a potential business engagement;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- understand website performance and marketing effectiveness when you consent to analytics;
- comply with legal, accounting, tax, security, and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal bases for visitors in the EEA and United Kingdom
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, Valcend relies on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent for optional analytics and similar technologies; legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and responding to business inquiries; steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; performance of a contract; and compliance with legal obligations.
You may withdraw consent for optional analytics at any time by using the Cookie preferences control in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
5. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies
Valcend uses a consent preference stored in your browser so the site can remember whether you accepted or rejected optional technologies. This preference is necessary to respect your privacy choice.
Optional analytics are disabled by default and are not loaded until you give consent. When Google Analytics 4 is enabled, it may use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and preserve session state. Google documents a default expiration of up to two years, subject to browser limits and configuration.
You can accept, reject, or change optional analytics at any time through Cookie preferences. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent access to the core website.
6. Google Analytics
Valcend uses Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic, acquisition sources, page usage, and engagement. The Analytics tag is configured to load only after analytics consent is granted through Valcend's consent mechanism.
Analytics information may include technical identifiers and usage information. Valcend does not intentionally send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying contact information to Google Analytics.
7. YouTube testimonials and external media
Some testimonial videos are hosted by YouTube. The site uses privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds and loads the video player only after you choose to play a video. Loading external media can connect your browser to Google/YouTube, which may receive technical information and may use cookies or similar technologies under Google's own terms and settings.
8. Other service providers
Valcend may use service providers to operate the website and business, including:
- Netlify for website hosting, delivery, security, and operational logs;
- Google Analytics for optional website analytics;
- Google Workspace and Google Calendar for email, scheduling, and business communications;
- YouTube for testimonial video hosting;
- Google Fonts for web typography.
These providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing is also governed by their applicable privacy terms and safeguards.
9. International transfers
Because Valcend works internationally and uses global service providers, personal information may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States or other jurisdictions. Where required by applicable law, appropriate transfer mechanisms or contractual safeguards are used by the relevant service providers.
10. Data retention
Valcend keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain business and tax records, to resolve disputes, and to meet legal obligations. Analytics retention is governed by the settings configured in Google Analytics. Your cookie preference is periodically refreshed so that you can make a new choice over time.
11. Your rights in Mexico
If Mexican data-protection law applies, you may request Access, Rectification, Cancellation, or Opposition regarding your personal data (ARCO rights), and you may revoke consent where applicable. To make a request, email contact@valcend.com with enough information to identify the data and the right you wish to exercise. Valcend may request reasonable information to verify your identity before acting on a request.
12. Rights for EEA and UK visitors
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, and withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
13. Rights for U.S. visitors
Depending on your state of residence and whether an applicable threshold is met, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about certain disclosures, and in some jurisdictions to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing practices. Valcend does not knowingly sell personal information and does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-context behavioral advertising on this website.
14. Security
Valcend uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the website and information handled. No online transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
15. Children
This website is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children. Valcend does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website.
16. Changes to this policy
Valcend may update this policy when services, technologies, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
